Description
Rawdon is a village in the Aire Valley, West Yorkshire, between Leeds and Bradford. It became a significant centre for the Exley family from the mid-17th century when Samuel Exley of Rawdon (1630-1675) established the Rawdon branch.
The Rawdon branch is the direct ancestral line leading to the NZ emigrants and ultimately to Andrew Exley (b.1973).
