Biography
Sibyl Harper of Calverley and Guiseley. Daughter of Francis Harper and his wife Sibyl. Married John Exley of Rawdon on 1st February 1673. The Exley Chronicle (Typed) notes the surname Harper was derived from an early member of the family who was a minstrel or harper. Sibyl’s mother “came from a family whose members lived at Baildon and Calverley from very remote times.”
Died 1716.
