- “John m. Ann de Copley” shown as child of William (liv. 1275) (NZ Pedigree Sheets (Typed), sheet 2)
- NZ pedigree shows his son Robert, then John (liv. 1393/1420) who “also left his share in the Exley Hall property to the descendants of Roger, grandson of William de Ecclesley”
