Robert of Exley Hall, living 1424, descended from Richard de Ecclesley (killed 1317) through a son whose name is missing from the pedigree. Father of Robert of Bankhouse (liv. 1456). His designation “of Exley Hall” confirms the family’s continued association with the Ecclesley/Exley Hall property at Southowram.
